  • Chief Financial Officer

    We are currently looking to fill a CFO role within the parent company “TOPCO”. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-cycle accounting, including preparation of public filings. It is important that this individual is familiar with the public company regulatory filings, timelines, and has an illustrated track record.

    Experience with MD&A reporting is also mandatory, therefore strong written skills are an asset. Excellent communication skills are very important as there will be numerous staff reporting to the CFO. There is also the need for clear communication between the CFO and CEO.     • Providing leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team

  • Field Engineers

    The Klean Industries field engineer rapidly learns the industry and will be exposed to all areas of our business—not just his/her degreed area of expertise. It is a hands-on position where the engineer gains invaluable experience and skills on a variety of projects to be applied throughout a career with Klean Industries. Typical responsibilities include:
     

    • Study Klean Industries and vendor drawings and documents to become familiar with both the intricate details and the project as a whole.
    • Assist the construction superintendent and project manager in managing, supervising, and tracking the schedules of subcontractors and vendors working onsite.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
    • Interface with design engineers at the office to provide solutions to problems in the field.
    • Assist in the start-up and initial operation of projects.
    • Assist the construction superintendent in ensuring that the final product produced by Klean Industries and our subcontractors is a quality product in full compliance with all contractual obligations, applicable codes, and customer regulations.

  • Design Supervisors

    A progressive position that requires a strong back ground and understanding of integrated waste management technologies and design. We are in continuous expansion and have an immediate requirement for Designer/Drafter Supervisor.

    Typical responsibilities include:

    • Directs all aspects of the Designing team
    • Personal interface at many levels - engineering, operations and sub-contractors
    • Management of all new product information including schematics, drawings, bills of material, and all other pertinent engineering data.
    • Manage changes that affect multiple product lines. Effectively implement these changes across multiple units in various stages of production, including but not limited to; recognizing cut-in, affect on bill of materials, impact on possible obsolescence, etc.
    • Providing design information and feedback to suppliers.
    • Creation and Utilization of engineering automation and productivity tools.
    • Improving productivity of designing and drafting functions.
    • AS Engineering or equivalent experience required (BS Engineering Technology or equivalent experience preferred)
    • 5+ years of mechanical design/drafting supervisory experience in the waste management processing industry or equivalent heavy industry

    Spend your summer developing business opportunities for Klean Industries in the US as well as in Canada, the UK, Mexico and Brazil. You will work with the CEO, CFO, CTO, and VP of Business Development and be exposed to Fortune 500 companies, innovative green start-ups, brand managers and recycling strategies. In addition, by the end of your internship you would have been taught how to strategically research on deal opportunities, pitch business ideas, create effective proposals and manage business development databases.

  • Product Developers

  • Market Researchers

    Klean is looking to source various waste streams from various industrial partners and recycling facilities and independent operators around the globe. We are developing new partner programs where we can develop partnerships to establish collection infrastructure for various wastes. One of the goals is to establish new stewardship programs around the globe that generate revenue via collection fees and tipping fees by collecting specific kinds of waste and shipping them to Klean’s new processing plants. Some of these sourcing locations are comprised of industrial processing plants, factories and a wide variety of other organizations.

    Klean is looking for an MBA candidate (or potentially a motivated college junior or senior) to design and conduct market research for these programs.

    Specific Duties:

    • Gather information on existing recycling and fundraising programs
    • Identify potential promotions, programs and partnership

  • Videographers

    The Videographer Intern will assist in the filming, importing, and editing of raw video to create high quality videos that will be placed on DVD or uploaded to our YouTube channel.

    Responsibilities include importing and logging existing raw footage, filming and editing footage and creating and inserting appropriate graphics into the video to create a professional-quality clip. Video intern must be highly skilled with a video camera, and must be proficient in Final Cut Pro. Personal computer with programs is a plus. Must be currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in a related field, such as film, or video editing, etc. Intern should be highly organized, detail-oriented, steady, dependable, driven, and energetic.

  • Graphic Designers

    Klean is looking for creative and motivated undergraduate students who want to build their portfolio and gain hands-on work experience in the Cleantech sector. The job with require experience in developing social networks like YouTube, LinkedIn, Google, WordPress, Twitter. It will also require the ability to update, creating and modifying websites. Throughout the internship, you will be involved in a variety of challenging high profile projects with fast turn-around deadlines.

    As an intern you will work with Klean’s executive team on developing media concepts to improve Klean’s look. This will include product editorials, brochures, power points, proposals and document packaging from concept through to production. You will also help prepare for trade show events and help prepare CSR reports.

    It is imperative the intern have their own computer with Adobe software.
    Required Skills:

    • Must have working knowledge of Adobe creative suite.
    • Must be able to operate within Microsoft Office systems.
    • Strong communication and artistic skills.
    • Must be organized and detail oriented.

    The Klean Industries Environmental Engineering Apprenticeship Programme is a key part of our progressive approach to career development in the alternative energy and resource recovery sector. This is a training program to cultivate future leaders in environmental engineering. Designed to give hands-on work experience and allow you to study for your qualifications at the same time, it incorporates a structured programme of training leading to a recognised qualification that covers a wide range of occupations.

    During the apprenticeship you will gain experience in the areas of business development, sales, marketing, project development, project implementation, energy economics, waste management, carbon assessment, material handling, recycling, resource reprocessing, oil refining, CSR program development, community organizing, national legislative advocacy and media and public communications. The training scheme means you can acquire specialist intermediate-level engineering, technician, supervisory and craft skills at National Vocational Qualifications Levels 2 and 3. It’s the perfect way to get a head start and move up the career ladder.
