Design Supervisor
A progressive position that requires a strong back ground and understanding of integrated waste management technologies and design. We are in continuous expansion and have an immediate requirement for Designer/Drafter Supervisor.Typical responsibilities include:
- Directs all aspects of the Designing team
- Personal interface at many levels - engineering, operations and sub-contractors
- Management of all new product information including schematics, drawings, bills of material, and all other pertinent engineering data.
- Manage changes that affect multiple product lines. Effectively implement these changes across multiple units in various stages of production, including but not limited to; recognizing cut-in, affect on bill of materials, impact on possible obsolescence, etc.
- Providing design information and feedback to suppliers.
- Creation and Utilization of engineering automation and productivity tools.
- Improving productivity of designing and drafting functions.
- AS Engineering or equivalent experience required (BS Engineering Technology or equivalent experience preferred)
- 5+ years of mechanical design/drafting supervisory experience in the waste management processing industry or equivalent heavy industry
- Working knowledge/experience in ; AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Inventor
- Quality training or Greenbelt certification preferred
- Excellent organizational integration, communications and interpersonal skills
- Accomplishments that reflect teamwork, integrity, accountability and speed
- This position is located in Vancouver, Canada and reports to the Engineering Vice President. Applicants must possess valid authority to work in the United States.
