Passionate about the environment and determined to make it part of your future?The Klean Industries Environmental Engineering Apprenticeship Programme is a key part of our progressive approach to career development in the alternative energy and resource recovery sector. This is a training program to cultivate future leaders in environmental engineering. Designed to give hands-on work experience and allow you to study for your qualifications at the same time, it incorporates a structured programme of training leading to a recognised qualification that covers a wide range of occupations.
During the apprenticeship you will gain experience in the areas of business development, sales, marketing, project development, project implementation, energy economics, waste management, carbon assessment, material handling, recycling, resource reprocessing, oil refining, CSR program development, community organizing, national legislative advocacy and media and public communications. The training scheme means you can acquire specialist intermediate-level engineering, technician, supervisory and craft skills at National Vocational Qualifications Levels 2 and 3. It's the perfect way to get a head start and move up the career ladder.
This career opportunity is supported by The University of Brighton and Waste & Energy Research Group. In partnership with Dr. Marie Harder our group training provider, we will soon be undertaking recruitment, selection and interviewing as well as providing mentoring throughout the programme.
What we offer:
- Apprenticeships are offered in the following Engineering trades: electrical, thermal engineering, process engineering, fitter & turner, instrumentation, boiler making, millwright & fabrication, equipment operations
- Apprenticeships cover all tuition fees, accommodation, meals and transport
- Completion of all Institutional Training modules at an accredited training provider
- Furthering of educational qualifications on a part-time basis
- Practical on-the-job-training in above mentioned disciplines
- Coaching and Mentoring
- Scheduling of Trade Test preparation and testing
What we require:
- Must be either a Canadian or British citizen, permanent resident, legal resident with a valid work permit, or be able to attain a valid work visa independently to be considered eligible for this programme
- Be a conscientious and reliable team player
- Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
- Minimum of full N3 with trade theory
- Practical experience will be an added advantage
- Prospective candidates will be required to attend psychometric assessments as part of the selection process
